Startup

A revolutionary upgrade to Indian Engineering Education.

Hello

I’m Chandan from Bangalore. 3rd year engineering student working on a startup with an aim to give an upgrade to the current education system.

I’d like to make it simple and precise. A problem statement followed by a solution.

Why there was no Indian team in Intel Make It Wearable Challenge 2014?

Every year more than 1.5 million engineers are being graduated in India, out of which only 0.0001% of the students are able to participate in International Innovation Challenges. The reason being lack of finance, technical skills, professional mentoring, and sophisticated labs.

Limited number of students from IITs and other reputed universities are able to participate in the competitions. Indian students are finding it difficult to end with fruitful results.

Skilled students in other colleges are lacking infrastructures which are necessary to build an innovative product. More than 90% of the teams are failing to raise funds. Absence of skilled mentors and lack of equipment in laboratories are hindering the participation of the students.

Why do we think we have a solution?

We are trying to build a technology company which offers comprehensive support to the engineering students to participate in international competitions. Our service bridges the gap between students and financial supporters, thus brings a breakthrough in the learning process.

We are going to operate within a highly sophisticated business model to raise funds, using students as products. It works on a large scale operation, maintaining proper rotation of funds, making students to be a part of high end project at low registration cost.

We collaborate with requisite industry players helping students with internships and placements in top companies across the country. Skilled mentors from all parts of the country will be interacting with students in a systematic way.

We want to be the solution for every tech geek who has a passion to build revolutionary devices. With this intention we try to establish world class laboratories which are equipped with high precision instruments.

Thus we give an upgrade to the current system, with an aim to revolutionize the engineering education.

I’d like to know about the validity of my idea and further suggestions.

  1. Superb!

    Just an advice

Keep your business model simple (very very simple) in stead of  “highly sophisticated business model”.
