We see a lot of plastic bags used in retail outlets, grocery stores, etc. Several states have also banned plastic bags (or introduced additional fee for using it).
Is there any alternative to plastic bags ? Paper bags are one option, but its not as good as plastic for holding wet/semi solid items. For example if you are buying food from a restaurant the packaging invariably will be in plastic or its derivatives……probably rotis (or solid stuff) is packed in aluminum foil, but the wet/semi solid stuff (subji, gravy, etc) is still in liquid form.
Are there any alternate materials which have properties similar to plastic? A business based on this concept of idea may have good potential. Like to hear from people who are in to this field or line, if its a good idea to startup in this segment.
