The same item is sold at different prices in local shops, which is one of the reason many people choose trusted eCommerce websites, even me. But on monginis website, the SAME ITEM - "Hum Tum Boy Cake" of 2 KG (Product Code : OO302 (B)) is sold at different prices!
Here is the screenshot I took of this URL on their website - http://www.monginis.net/category/popular-cakes
Have you ever come across crazy things like this?
Permalink Reply by Sanchita Dutta on August 21, 2012 at 2:20pm i think the devil is in the details. while the form and name might be same, it is possible that the contents of the two cakes are different resulting in differential pricing. one might be full cream and the other part cream part sugar.
full cream cakes surely wont be available at the lower price which it shows. even the unbranded bakeries charge 600-700 for full cream cakes for every kg.
