Apps for Apple Watch – share your ideas!

At our last Open House in Bangalore we did a CAS (Create A Startup) session based on the theme Apps for Apple Watch. (You can read Priyadeep’s live reporting of the event HERE!)

We asked the audience to think Apps. 

To think how the Apple Watch would change our life. 

And we opened the floor to App Ideas that Rodinhooders would want to build for the Apple Watch!  

Since today is Steve Jobs’ birthday, what better tribute to him than taking his Apple legacy forward, by sharing our app ideas for the Apple Watch?!

So here’s the list of the app ideas that came up during this fun & interactive CAS session at the Open House:

Idea #1: Security trigger alarm – Heartbeat

Idea #2: Stock Alerts

Idea #3: Women Security Alarm (very promising)

Idea #4: Navigation System – that buzzes differently for left or right turns

Idea #5: Location based alerts in case of health emergency

Idea #6: Walking Stick for Visually Impaired 

Idea #7: Contact Exchange 

Idea #8: Proximity Reader

Idea #9: Motion Sensors – Sports (maybe used for Cricket Bowlers – to help analyse) – suggested by Varun Arya (or was it the mike runner dude?!!)

Idea #10: Remote Control 

Idea #11: Find compatibility factor (Dating) – Banda-Bandi App!!! (very interesting, idea suggested by Sourish Ghosh!!)

We would like you to:

i)  Pls share more ideas for apps you would love to build for the Apple Watch. Be sure to mention the WHYs – why you think it will work.  Your idea, if neat, will be added to this list and you will get the credit for it as well!

ii) Focus on the WHY NOTs. So even if you don’t have an idea, you could still contribute by telling us why you think any of the listed app ideas WON’T WORK. In the end we’ll make a chart of WHYs and WHY NOTs for each app idea!!
