Are India's financial newspapers going wrong or missing anything?

India has over 100 crore people, at least 50% are well educated. Finance, business news impact each and every person, yet all business dailies sell around 12 lakh copies, with the leader accounting 8 lakh. Are the missing anything or going wrong somewhere?

Lets look at how these 'educated' folks get earn their livelihoods:

- Most of them are govt. employees. When was the last time you had an intelligent conversation with someone from the BMC or PWC?

- Others are employees in private companies. There the emphasis is getting the job done, not on being knowledgeable

- We employ abt 150 people. Only 2 people (one of them being me) reads the newspapers DAILY. Why? Coz they are inundated by sms's, internet snippets, newsletters of news from sites etc

Who cares about the papers anymore??

What does 'Rodinhood' mean?

Rodinhood is inspired from Rodin - who sculpted 'The Thinker' and Robin Hood who 'got things done'. Hence Thinking+Doing = Rodinhood.
