As I write this down, there would already be thousands of individuals sitting in MNC offices, with high level of passion for travel, thinking to take the plunge as a Travel Entrepreneur.
Hold On… You still need to think more on it…….
I would advise otherwise. Keep Travel and Business separate. They tend to kill each other when mixed.
Scenario 1: If in Business, you have commitments, Customers to keep happy, Arrangements to do, Salaries to distribute. And in all these you don’t get the chance to enjoy the same frame of landscape for which you traveled. At times you hardly get to travel. So it’s better to keep working for a living and keep pursuing Travel as a passion.
Scenario 2: If you are on Travel, Your guests will have to take care of themselvesJ. Not all employees are self motivated. They will have a party while you are on travel. In the end you will have to keep funding the company from your pockets.
If you still think that your passion of Travel is calling you to be on the road for 7 days in a week. Then you should surely get on the road. That Photogenic frame with lush Green hills on the backdrop and a river gently flowing in the valley awaits you.
Just make sure that you don’t keep any baggage like Home loan, Car loan, Personal Loans before the actual journey. Don’t forget the family baggage. It’s good to be a traveler, but it’s no good to be an escapist.
How to fund your Travel?
1. Travel and take temp jobs in the places you go.
2. Take up Freelancer jobs, which you can do from anywhere. Fund your travel with that money.
3. Create a travel blog with huge fan following. Hotels would be ready to accommodate you for free & even pay for the branding you offer.
4. Learn the skill of Website building before you travel. When in a city approach few hotels and build their website for cash or kind.
5. Write or photograph for travel magazines / Channels.
These are just few of the probable options. I hope the fellow rodinhooders will surely add to the list.
