Best Twitter Conversation Ever – Tesco Mobile

This one was on the news a few days back. Posting in case you haven’t already read it.

It started on November 10 when British Mobile company Tesco Mobile, got into a chat with Riccardo Esposito who had sent a message of support for the company. What happens next is unbelievable as it turns into a twitter party.

Rather than taking a stiff corporate approach, the Brand put a human face into the conversation. Must read for social media marketers. Lots of lessons to be learned. Read the whole article to see what happens.

So a customer tweeted this to Tesco Mobile….

But Tesco Mobile replied in memorable fashion…

  5. Amazing.. I have never seen such a conversation happen, anywhere on the web. And just to think about it, it was Tesco Mobile! They created an actual party, on Twitter. Simply mesmerizing stuff.. Thanks for the share, Aneja!

  6. ..Quintessentially British…..I dunno where the British get their reputation of being stiff and Uptight” . In my limited experience when I visited  the country 2ice. ……was surprised pleasantly with candour and  absence of any pretense in my interactions with common folk and staff of even some luxury brand showrooms. Clearly me with my friends were fooling around at the luxury  brand store ( i think FCUK)  and actually entered the showroom with the intention of annoying the staff…..to our surprise they joined the jovial conversation and shared a joke too ……. refreshingly honest it was.

Like in this case, the Brand does not come with any Baggage…
