Dhakkanz.com?

Hello all,

I am a new to this website (had heard a lot about this platform form one of my friends).

I am actually not looking for any financial support. I will explain what I am looking out here for in some time.

I started a blog on Dhakkanz.com a couple of years back. It was my personal blog and I used to rant about anything and everything. Recently, I was realizing that my blog is loosing the direction with which I had initiated it. I wanted it to be a group of blogs,on various themes. But only blogs I was able to create were:

Personal – www.Dhakkanz.com

MS Excel – www.ExcelMatic.Dhakkanz.com

But recently something happened – I did something grossly wrong and because of that all my blogs got deleted. I had an option of getting them back, but then thought – “jo hua achha hua”!

I took it as an opportunity to, maybe, do something new with it.

So, hence am here, in the pool of interesting talent, to seek some ideas. 

Can you suggest me ideas for my domain – www.Dhakkanz.com?

  2. hey Mohit, we all know what dhakkan word implies in our everyday life. May be you can start blogging about the mistakes you commit everyday and when you realize it, it is already too late. Mistakes committed on personal front as well as professional. Mistakes in a relationship, in family, in business, job or anything else. Mistakes which you could have prevented easily. It would be a great blog.

  3. I guess the name has lots of potential.. I agree with Sachin very much….

    Also you can have write-ups on Dhakkanz – people who are doing something wrong – may include politicians, celebrities, thought leaders, organizations, etc 

    Another option is to reverse the thought and portray Dhakkanz as crazy people doing interesting stuff around the world and affecting people’s lives. This will have lots of content on teh go.. TheRodinhoods will give you lots of material to start with.. People associated with it will be called The Dhakkanz:) like we call ourselves Rodinhooders.. 

    If something strikes, will come back to you with more.. personally liked the name 🙂

    Before I thank you for replying to this post, allow me to mention that when I bought this domain, the first thought that I had about what I will do with this domain was quite similar to what you mentioned – “Another option is to reverse the thought and portray Dhakkanz as crazy people doing interesting stuff around the world and affecting people’s lives.” 🙂

    The thought was something like – I would make Dhakkanz a group of blogs (on sub-domains) where in each blog will share some or the other information. With that in mind only I had started MS Excel blog – Excel Matic! I mean I could share my knowledge on Excel with all and I had tried to bring in people (obviously for no money) to share their knowledge in their field of expertise. But I failed.

    Lets see, what will I end up doing now with my Dhakkanz! Still speaking to friends for ideas

  8. Sanchita, as I mentioned, the site got deleted by mistake by me. And I am happy that happened! Hehehhe

  9. Name is interesting one…also as you told website got deleted but is also giving DNS issue…please just put some under construction page to avoid confusion…

    Coming to the point..There is very large number of things we complain about everyday be it different telecom providers, DTH providers, e-commerce sites, insurance companies  builders etc…some people like me write bullshit to them on their FB pages or email them to get response..but lot of people don’t know the right channel (to be precise effective channel) to be heard and get their queries resolved…You can work as platform which is combination of mouthshut.com and  consumercourt.in…look into the issue and help them in resolving the issue by contacting companies through their social media channel, emails, telephoning etc…be a third party in resolving their issue… initially free (few success stories can work as marketing through word of mouth)..and later on you can charge very small token amount from who are willing to pay to get their complaints resolved early…but keeping free resolution of issues as well…more of Google way..free and paid both in the same basket…you will be solving a major pain point of every consumer in India but key to make it great is getting the complaints resolved..

    Also, you can have dhakkan of the day…or monthly dhakkan awards given to companies with maximum complaints with least resolution…Do let me know if this clicks you..

    Also, as of now, I am not able to put a ‘WIP’ page, as there my domain is in process of getting transferred to another service provider. And because of this, the current provider is giving me some hard time working on my domain.

  11. If you have any articles that people can benefit from – such as tips, advise, suggestions, self-improvement, etc. I would be able to post your article on my personal blog with your profile and website links. 

    Dhakkkans could be a place where people are overflowing with ideas (imagine a vessel full of ideas till the brim and reaches the Dhakkan/lid).
