Hello Everyone,

I am Sanjana Shorewala. Me and my two Co-Founders – Govind Shorewala and Miloni Shah are about to this website called “Exact Advice”

What is Exact Advice?

We strongly believe that the best you can get is from someone who has already done or is at present doing the same thing that you want to do. We term this advice as “exact advice”.

What does ExactAdvice.com do?

It is a platform that connects those who seek advice to those who are or have been in the same position. In a way we are a premiere collective of first-hand experience.

So basically say if someone wants to go to Harvard, the best person to guide him is someone who studied/studies at Harvard. Someone wants to become a professional scuba – diver the best person to guide him is a professional scuba diver so on so forth.

How is the advice given?

The advice is given over secure teleconferencing facilities. (No personal contacts would be given.)

How does it work?

1. The user will register itself on the Platform.

2. Then search for the Experts he can talk to from the various categories.

3. After which they will book a session on the Platform.

4. Then finally dial into the conference facility to get “Exact Advice”.

What is in it for the advisors?

1. An opportunity to give back by sharing knowledge and experience

2. Advisors set a charge for a session (30 minutes) and either donate a part of that or the entire amount to charity and hence they contribute further to society

3. Advisors who donate a part are part of the “Knight Program” and advisors who donate the entire amount are a part of the “Give – Back Program”

Currently we are working on a Stand By Page and are having free calls for the first 15 days from 6th April on wards. These calls are by people who have studied something / done something could be as a career or just for passion. We have people who would talk about – Studying in the best baking school in paris to someone who would talk about Feng Shui and vastu.

We will go live with our website from 1st May.

neat idea sanjana. but it really must be tough finding experts naa?

also, what if a person is not happy with the advice he/she got in 30 mins. how would you resolve that?

Hi Asha,

It is not that challenging finding experts. We have 2 kinds of experts. Below I highlight their motivations.

Category 1 which we have termed the “Knights” program. Majority of the revenue goes to these experts on this call.Their motivations are.

1. Desire to share knowledge

2. Desire to contribute to charity

3. Build a second source of income/small savings.

A large number university students, recent graduates, artistic professionals, professional turned entrepreneurs have shown interest in this.

Category 2 the “Give- Back Program”Majority of the revenue goes to Charity.Their motivations are.

1. To share their valuable experience and knowledge.

2. To contribute completely to charity.

A large number of CEO’s / Celebrities and Top Management people have shown interest in this.

We are sure that these programs would do well.

Answering your second question we have 3 mechanisms in place:

1. User Feedback / Follow Up based on Recorded Calls

2. Payment Mechanism

3.Ranking /Disbarment based on Feedback.

I liked the idea. Believe me, there are lots of experts out there who would love to share their knowledge and/or give advice.

Ohh and yes, I saw one box (half visible) while filling up the form to Sign Up as an expert. This box is half visible and I cannot leave it blank. I could not figure out what I needed to fill in there as I could not see its heading too. Sorry could not send you a screenshot as I just now closed the tab.
