Feb. 2014 Mumbai Open House – do you wanna Volunteer?!

Hey all,

We’ve been getting heaps of queries about our next Mumbai Open House (which was originally planned for Dec but postponed owing to Alok’s crazy calendar!). We’ve got some exciting stuff cooking for you in trhs open house kitchen – so we are really gonna take you by surprise this time!!

The earliest date we could get at our favourite venue – NSE is Feb 8, 2014 (Saturday) so pls mark your calendar!

Why are we reaching out to you? To invite you to come and organise it!

Last month, we had two Open Houses – in Delhi & Bangalore – that were wonderfully organised by the respective city teams. Pls read this post to get an idea how everyone contributed to the awesomeness! 

So the core idea being that Rodinhooders from every city should get a chance to be a part of the organising team of any Open House or Meet-up. Calling all you good people who’d like to volunteer in any capacity – venue co-ordination, backstage/mic & sound system support, photographers, anchors, content curators, PPT specialists, social media enthusiasts, event reporters…. and WHATEVER YOU DEEM! We are very open to ideas – we just need YOU!! 

Please note: Every city team is flexible and responsibilities can/should rotate amongst different Rodinhooders for every event! For example Anamika organises every Delhi meetup. She prepares the master PPT – hosts the meetup and does all the content co-ordination. I’m sure she would welcome someone who’d volunteer to share her responsibilities!

So holler. And remember, innovative suggestions are welcome!

[ps: Sushrut Munje has already pitched to co-anchor the upcoming OH – but the more, the merrier so please don’t feel shy – just paint your name in the comments below…]

    as in you’d like to write about the event? that would be event reporting!

    the content for the event comes from the participants’ ppts and is looped into one master ppt – so there is no content creation as such….

    we have yet to announce the event details and agenda. we normally do that one month prior. once the event post is up you will be able to RSVP there.

    in the meanwhile we would like to build an organising team for mumbai 🙂

  14. Oh Wow. 8th of feb is my birthday. I would love to volunteer. Though I am from delhi, but there’s no way I would want to miss this meetup scheduled on my birthday. I would love volunteer as photographer or help people backstage. Please let me know how I can contribute.

  16. This is just so superb Asha!! Yes, more the merrier. In the coming meet-ups of Delhi, it would be a great thing to have a fresh team doing things with a fresh perspective!!! Kindly communicate to asha’s id if anyone is willing to organise coming Delhi meet-up which is not yet decided regarding date and venue.. but could be in Jan last week!

  34. So so wish I could have volunteered for this except that I am busy on that particular Saturday with my leadership program – if there is any pre-event prep that I can do without physically being there then happy to be involved. Am sure this will be another super Open House

    I joined this rocking community few weeks back and have been quietly following the stuff. Thanks all, really feeling great to be here. I have had also attended the last Mumbai OH. Just awesome! Now, I can’t control myself to bag this golden opportunity to volunteer for this event in any way. I am jack of all and master of none. So ok doing any stuff (not literally ;)).     I’m so psyched to announce that Lowfundwala productions, a startup I co-founded, will be covering the event and creating videos that are share-worthy and fun to watch.

    While we’re fully geared up and excited to be there, we need help with sound equipment (recorders, rode videomic pros) and sound recording volunteers. If anyone here could pitch in, that would be awesome.
