Funding for an NGO

Ten years as a behavioural training specialist and five years into designing white wedding gowns,I am a passionate entrepreneur.

I have a business that deals with designer white wedding gowns for the last 5 years. And since I have been in corporate for ten years as a behavioural training specialist, I very recently began my journey venturing into opening my own learning space  focusing on behavioural training for organisations.

I have had the intention of starting a Women’s Empowerment Cell for the last ten years, and feel the time has come to culminate both my strengths ( designing/garment exp + training), putting them to good use.

Objective: To comprehensively empower women to be leaders and entrepreneurs

Method:

PART-1: Association with YWCA and other relevant organisations that focus on upskilling marginalised women. We will train them on garment stitching and give them an opportunity to earn while they do that too. We have tied in two transformational coaches who will also be involved in counselling and motivational catalysts for the women.

PART-2: Association with fashion design institutes to invite highly motivated certified candidates to enage in the project. This will have a two fold win-win. First – They gain expertise of building a business + organising the ground infrastructure necessary to run this framework. Second – This platform in turn will give them an opportunity to build their own enterprise ( begin their own label and brand from here ) Each will also get a percentage of profits for their role in

– Product design & development ( for specified products )

– QC

PART-3 Association with necessary marketing platforms (yet to be decided, but most probably online ones accessible to a larger target consumer group) to market the end product

I am writing in as this project would require a two fold requirement

1-an initial financial boost to get the foundation infrastructure together. ( Location + machines )

2- expert views/advice/guidance on the process

  1. Whats your business plan?

NGO’s get funded EXACTLY like Business Companies, except that instead of Cash Profits, you show SOCIAL ROI

    Can you post your pitch?
