GeoBeats is an online media company which specialize in large scale video production. Many of the world’s largest companies rely on GeoBeats’s services to boost their online video offerings. Job Description
– Web application development using Ruby on Rails, Jquery, MySql and linux
– Design, architect implement new features and optimize existing ones from code to UX
– Adherence to agile development like TDD, BDD
– Requires working closely with company founders
– Rapidly fix bugs
– Keep the application running fast and stable
– Pro-actively look for ways to make existing product better and work on new features
Desired Skills and Experience
– B.Tech / B. E. in Computer Science or MCA/ MSc or Graduate in any domain
– 2 to 5 years experience
– Good programming skills in JavaScript/Ajax/JQuery, Ruby
– Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
– Good understanding of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility
– Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, Apache) and familiarity with Unix/Linux
– Good written communication and documentation abilities
