Startup

Launch Day: Yahoo! News and Tech In Asia feature hashtaag.com : $0 spent on marketing

https://hashtaag.com is LIVE and

I couldn’t say it but SCREAM OUT LOUD: WE ARE LIVE!!!

And what better than one of Asia’s top tech blogs: Tech In Asia andYahoo! News picking us up day 1 🙂

Quickly wanted to share the lesson for startups:

  • We have spent $0 on marketing. Worked genuinely on a great product

  • Diligently worked with some amazing startups and creative ideas. Helped them build networks and shared our expertise/ knowledge with them

  • Finally, reached out to some amazing bloggers/ authors who write about startups. Took their feedback on the product and relented through hour long conversations, honestly answering all questions.

And that, folks, is the start of our journey! More as we grow.

Did you build your “startup” project on hashtaag yet?

  1. Finally,a service like kickstarter relevant to India! any plans to enable funding support soon?

  2. Hi Smit,

Thanks for the brilliant “quick” understanding of the platform. For now: we have some interesting Angels & VCs, who are taking our feeds and discovering great ventures.

Today morning I met one of the top known VC firm in India. They saw a venture hosted on hashtaag and I am already connecting them both 🙂

In terms of “crowd funding” we are trying to see, how we can enable this for startups in India! Its not yet legal.

But sure, once you have created a project on hashtaag, you can write to funding@hashtaag.com with your project link and we will ensure that you get closer to your fund raising goal, faster, by introducing you to relevant networks.

Do help, spread the word, thanks!

  3. Looks like an awesome initiative!

  4. Thanks so much Saraswathi. Would love to see you on hashtaag and make awesomeness happen. Why don’t you “start a project” on hashtaag. Might be anything, a book that you intend to write, a product that you intend to build, may be an interesting workshop that you intend to host for an interesting audience. Anything!

Do share the project video/ presentation! It helps people get a far better sense of why they should ‘back’ you!

Inspire people and you’d see how the world will get together to help you make things happen 🙂

  5. All the very best Paritosh, I’m sure hashtaag’s gonna provide the best platform for entrepreneurs to overcome obstacles, resolve obstacles, get connected to various resources.  Yeah! a helping hand is in deed needed for entrepreneurs right from the beginning of their venture.

  6. Thanks Arjun 🙂

Thanks for all the action! Absolutely we will. Being a startup ourselves, we understand, how not to bull shit with our time and other’s too!

    So, MOVE FAST!
