MumGum.com - a social networking website for mums.

Hi. I am a student at Stanford University and have launched a social networking website for mums and mums-to-be, where-in they can share their thoughts and emotions. I would request you to visit the portal and provide your views. Thank you so much.

Thanks for your comments. I really appreciate it. Do you have any suggestions that could perhaps help us serve mums better? :)
I felt content segregation should be there like,I think contents should be put in specific category,Easy for our moms to operate,I found some contents related to Fashion beauty,I feel there should be some content regarding Cooking eg Recipes or videos,[I dont know its there or not But i didnt find it to be there on my first look] Our mums are interested in that too
Thank you so much for sharing your insight. I will surely look into the matter and take the required steps. Could I please request you to share the link of MumGum.com with those who could benefit from it? Thanks once again. :)

Hi. Thank you so much for bringing that to our notice. We have deleted the plagiarized content. Seems like few users had done that. We really appreciate you sharing the information with us. Thanks once again:)

Just some quick comments:

You've got a niche audience to target - there'll always be users, although many not beyond the 9 months !

It looks like you have the framework of a social network in place.  Would be great to see some meat to the site?

Was wondering if it makes sense to have a "Agony Aunts" section in place - perhaps for users to post direct questions to an subject level expert on the multi facets of parenting?

You should have a look at http://www.babycenter.in/.  Nice site that has the "data" part of what you're planing - no social layer.

I'm curious why you felt it's important to have Pictures and Videos for the site ?  What kind of pictures do you expect that community to want to share?

On the Locals Section, perhaps it can prompt the user to "There's none in your neighbourhood - why don't you create one?"

You're right - I missed the part it's not only for mums-to-be.

Hi Mahesh,

Thank you for your comments. We believe there is more to a mother's life than parenting. A mother is also a woman with varied interests. All the other players in the market are looking at addressing the need for parenting, pregnancy based information, whereas we look at ourselves beyond that, a platform to share thoughts and emotions with those who can relate to you, who are just like you.

I will surely act upon your suggestion for the Local section. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. :)

What does 'Rodinhood' mean?

Rodinhood is inspired from Rodin - who sculpted 'The Thinker' and Robin Hood who 'got things done'. Hence Thinking+Doing = Rodinhood.

The best place for enterprising folks to hang out, share, make like-minded friends, get feedback and soak in a pool of vast experience.
