Subject: 7 reasons to NOT Attend NASSCOM Product Conclave #nasscompc
To: alok@c2w.com

Dear Product Entrepreneurs and Intrapreneurs.

We are writing to you regarding the NASSCOM Product Conclave (NPC) which you might have heard of. Well, it’s high time you considered NOT attending NPC. Wondering why?

Let us offer you 7 reasons:

  1. NPC  is bringing together for the 1st time, iconic product stories from Silicon Valley and India, which of course, you WOULDN’T want to listen to
  2. NPC has parallel track sessions optimized for key aspects of product businesses which of course, you DON’T want to choose from
  3. NPC has unique workshops where you SHOULDN’T roll up your sleeves and learn tips & tricks on pricing, positioning, and PR
  4. NPC has exclusive breakout sessions with entrepreneur superheroes who you DON’T want to meet in a closed setting
  5. NPC has structured networking where you SHOULDN’T network with fellow entrepreneurs and ecosystem players to get new ideas
  6. NPC has a dynamic expo where you WOULDN’T want to see live products and network with potential partners
  7. NPC is a battery recharge of path-breaking ideas, awesome content, and interactions which you DON’T need to turbo-charge your product business

You get the point : – ) NPC is a revolutionary conference by, with, and for entrepreneurs! Join hundreds of world changing entrepreneurs at NPC on Nov 9, 10 in Bengaluru.

If you are a member of the NASSCOM EMERGE community or of our valued partner communities, register now to avail 50% off on NPC tickets. This is a perfect example of what I call ‘over creativity’ in a context thats absolutely unnecessary!

– In the first few seconds as I began to read it, I GOT EXCITED – maybe there was another REBELLIOUS Rodinhood out there, making some noise…

– As I read the first bullet – I kinda got Nausea and said – Come on your guys…get a life.

– I skipped everything else, hit REPLY and wrote – ‘THANKS – I WONT BE ATTENDING’.

I see this as a uniquely Indian Phenomena:

– Some newly minted MBA’s trying to show his special ‘writing’ skills that he learnt at Amity Business School or Arindham Chaudhary’s Buffalo farm??

– Why COMPLICATE??? WHY SPIN INNUENDOS? Madmen like me judge organisations by the way the communicate. Nasscom sounds like its up vomit creek.

– How can NASSCOM ALLOW THIS !!!??????

Nasscom – get a life. Learn from Steve Jobs. CLASS is being SIMPLE and UNCOMPLICATED

  1. lol i just read the same mail and was confused 😛

  2. i deleted it after reading the first line… totally agree with your point

  3. Arindham Chaudhary’s buffalo arm?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH…….Alok you are destructively creative!!

  4. This sort of email/pitch doesn’t even appeal to a Grade 8 student, who is being asked to sell tickets to the school fete’, and how if you sell 10 booklets, you will get a trip to the moon !

What’s wrong with simple truths, facts and clear messages.

Maybe we can get together and teach them writing skills OR better still Presentation skills

  5. This looks like the script of a typical Hindi movie…..by the time you reach the interval, you have forgotten what you started off with-you end up confused-one step forward and two steps back!!
