Need help in setting up Retail Kiosk

Dear All,

This is Vinoth, Founder of www.meedo.in we are into custom Merchandise services for individuals (T-Shirts, bags, Sneakers….) We are more of an Offline retail set up than an online service provider.

We are looking to set up our retail outlets in key locations across the county through the Franchise route, to start with we are setting company owned outlets in Chennai or Bangalore.

I need help in locating good retail places in Bangalore or Chennai, can someone suggest a right place or connect me to the right person if you come across any. If Friends here want to get into retail we can talk about the franchise terms too.

Hi vinoth,

My thought when I first read the question was “why should I take a franchise of a brand/outlet I haven’t heard of”. I feel you should first look at having 3/4 stores which are popular and then think on franchisee..

Alternatively another thing which can work is try setting up retail counters in college campus stores. Pick out good colleges approach the management stating it will add value as lot of colleges in UK like Cambridge and Oxford have their own merchandising store..the college managements will also not charge very high rents. With your economic model make the store a hit and if u are lucky u will be able to hire someone from the passionate students and later sell the franchise concept.

Also I suggest u write a post about meedo so that we know and once brand is created then feancisees can be looked into.

Thanks for the valuble inputs, I guess there is a miscommunication, what I was asking for is a retail space to start our own outlets, as you suggested. we are not looking for Franchisees for now 🙂

Dear vinoth,

Sorry for the confusion. Also I suggest u look at campus merchandising store as a option. We have close to 6 campus bookstores as of now and I feel its a good opportunity that not many use.

example in chennai there are famous institutes such as great lakes institute of management, SRM UNIVERSITY. let me know you thought’s about the same.
