I am afraid, you’d be wasting both your time as well as money on this.
Do not do suicide, unless you have plenty of the above two commodities.
As far as online comparison is concerned, there is hardly any price difference among the commodity and branded items, across merchants.
Offline price comparison would have worked 4 years back, but now-a-days, people shop offline, by first checking out the prices online.
4 years back, I started off by trying to build a price comparison engine, so I know bits and pieces.
Also, if you intend to go ahead with building it, outsourcing is a rubbish idea altogether. Take the hard way, learn the stuff and then build it yourself, however crappy.
This is just not about building a portal, it is highly technical stuff and unless you understand the nuances of it, you would fumble all along.
If you want this badly, you would build it. If this is just a science project for you, then you would just spend time and money on it and nothing worthwhile would come out.

Agreed upon your opinion of buying intent of users, I’ll try to change this intent and make them buying over phone from offline or online(hard task, i know, not sure if i’ll succeed).
online price comparison is just the the first phase, forgive me for not disclosing the whole idea.
And yes do not have money & time really.
Outsourcing is my choice is b’coz i am 0 in coding (but definitely welcome some cofounder)
May i know your sites name can you share some learnings to me that can be fruitful.
