  1. no feedback???!!!

    i’m shocked!

vikram – i believe nameet has spoken with you. hope that helped!

  2. Yeah, me too 🙂 People are viewing the site..so not sure where I’m losing them.

Yes, Nameet and I caught up and it was helpful. Thanks.

  3. Here is the problem:

I’m not sure what the solution is!

Is it AN APP per seller OR space on an APP?

Its very confusing to understand HOW the seller will FIRST ADD his stuff on the APP and THEN send it to his customers?

  4. Thanks for the feedback Alok.

    1) It’s space on an app. We’ve got a few white label requests and we’re evaluating them on a case-by-case basis. However, for now, the focus is to get people on the platform (ie. the NextGenCatalogs app).

    2) For now, we’re manually onboarding the sellers, and they are then sharing amongst their network via intent sharing (email, social media, WhatsApp etc). We are going live with the web CMS in a week or so, to enable sellers to DIY.

Will relook at the messaging both on the website, and the app store description to ensure both of these points are well articulated.

    Thanks,

    Vikram

  5. Hi Alok,

Like the concept a lot as a value add to sellers. We work with the small guys quite a bit for online sales and this is something along the lines of what they are asking for… however I wonder how well you are replacing their existing processes – Facebook Pages and Groups. The ease of posting a new product as an image on any social platform (FB for India, Instagram/Pinterest in the west) is tough to compete with. And if there is no end sale conversion its tough to justify the pricetag until there is a MASSIVE user base.

For a buyer, why would I download the app? I can discover all I want from my favorite brands (lets make the assumption that if they are willing to add them on NextGenCatalogues then they most certainly have already followed them on all social feeds) faster than you can post the updates on the app since its coming directly from the horses mouth. I can share that pretty easily from all these locations as well. And will buyers share something like this is a UX question I have… more of a personas question. Not sure what the target user is like that would use this rather than just being a master pinterester.

I think the core is cool but the packaging of it all and name are pretty closed and uncool. Man the name is actually the worst part, really throws me off and feels like an offshore services company doing generic work. Leading me to believe that everything in the app is cold and generic when everything about small and sellers and their products is naturally unique and awesome.

hope this helps and would love to check it out once it comes to iOS.

  6. Hi Rohit,

I think the intended recipient is me, and I really appreciate the feedback. We’re learning as we’re building, and will fix some of these issues as we go along.

    Thanks again,

    Vikram
