Plight of buyers opting for COD

I am shocked and surprised at the attitude of e-commerce sites when buyers opt for COD. We do get order confirmation but the order never turns up and we are made to wait an infinity for the same. 99 Labels is one of the worst sites as they have never delivered my orders for the last eight months. Myntra.com is also making me wait for more than a month even after email and phone verifications. Perhaps e-com firms forget that most people opt for COD to check out the company’s reliability factor. If orders do get delayed in the first place and sub-standard products turn up, there will be no repeat customer as no one wants to fall into the trap of losing money without the goods delivery. Rediff, of course, walked off with the honours when my credit card was charged for Rs 5000 and a moth later, a mail comes in sayhing the luxury saree I have bought was out of stock ad the money is quietly taken by the company in spite of repeated calls to customer care. It seems the national malady of corruption shows up at its earliest and the best when we are shopping online. I wish the companies should be paying compensation to buyers when they fail to deliver.

Thanks
