Presenting QREOH – A marketplace for independent designers

Hii Rodinhooders,

Introducing my startup, QREOH. QREOH is a marketplace for independent designers. We help designers setup shop online and start selling online without having to worry about payments, packaging and logistics.

QREOH – A marketplace for independent designers

Being a curated platform, we provide the buyer with an unique collection of amazing products to select from, counterintuitive to “the everything store”. The name QREOH comes from the word curio which means collectables and QREOH will be the place where you goto look for something unique and something that you will treasure. We hope that the value of every product on QREOH will always triumph its price.

While independent designers have been there for long, they have been limited to a handful of boutiques  in the cities. They couldn’t reach out to the world because of the absence of resources and funds. The internet has changed that. Its is disrupting supply chain systems faster than ever. And more people are realising the advantages of buying online as the web and the mobile become part our daily lives. The independent designer can now serve patrons from all corners of the world and is not limited to his/her city. Our goal is to enable the creative designer to become an entrepreneur and help art reach as many people as possible.

P.S. – Our mobile apps are in active development and should be released soon. And it’s gonna be #SoLoMo ;).

  1. Hey Shirsendu,

Love the concept. India badly needs a portal that encourages independent designers and help them take their business to the next level. I can totally relate to the idea since my wife is a fashion designer herself.

The UI/UX, mission and the whole feel is elegant and classy. Wish you all the best.

  2. Thanks! 🙂

  3. Hi Shirsendu,

Very Nice Conception and i would say brilliant opportunity for independent designers and the end customers also.

Also, I am planing something similar for a different audience and specific type of clothing. Would like to conect with you for some help and tips, as I am still in my ideation phase. That will be of great help.

  8. Good stuff, Shirsendu! Not sure if you remember, but we talked on Skype during the early days of QREOH. Our products have some similarity. CrowdStudio is also a curated platform- but for graphic designers to serve startups.

Wish you all the best, Troy 🙂

  10. Love the UX.

    Good work.

  11. Cool! Thanks 🙂

  12. very nice!

    Questions:

Are you in touch with Amazon Fashion? Would you like a high level intro?

Can we GAMIFY THESE DRESSES and make the designers work even more engaging?

  13. Glad to know you appreciate the platform. 😀

Will be getting in touch with you directly about Amazon Fashion. We haven’t explored it much.

And yes, gamification is the next step! Following designers, tags and feed coming in the next few weeks. Were getting enough designers on the platform to have an active stream of events. 🙂

  14. For an overall One stop shop and 360° approach, Listing a few that you can check to expand the reach possibilities TO compare, associate or work together if it suits your purpose and requirement, many more also possible as options.

  15. Hi

I liked Qreoh and I thought I bought a dress from the brand, ‘the Pot Plant’ from your website, only to realise now that it was from the Tadpole Store. Another portal in similar space with some common brands. I was so happy that I wrote this as a column on designing Shopper Marketing experiences:

     https://polkacoffee.wordpress.com/2014/11/17/designing-consumer-experiences-building-shopper-connections/

I am sure you will have a strategy in place to differentiate your brand, especially when the look and products are similar. Women, your key target audience believe that window shopping is a need and not just a desire 🙂 So, a strong brand pull will always drive conversion. Hoping you have seen the latest Accel Partners report on e-com thats says only 2.7% of visitors convert into shoppers, that means you need to build more and more visitors.

    Best wishes,

    Vishakha

ps. I am in the business of brand building and Shopper Marketing and this reply is a mix of a shopper + a shopper marketing professional.

  16. Thanks!

  17. Hii Vishakha,

Thanks for tips! We completely agree with the your blogpost. We are experimenting with our user experiences and hope to become the best soon. 🙂

We might need more of your expertise soon!

    Thanks!

  18. do you accept ads on your site?

  19. Hii Alok,

We don’t as of now and don’t have a plan for it in our product roadmap.

  20. hey shirsendu,

was going through the interesting ventures showcased in 2015 and noticed your site says “we’ve stopped operations” – sorry to hear that 🙁

    what happened?
