Reacho : Crowd sourced hyperlocal news application to know more about your locality!

Hello Rodinhooders,

We have launched a crowd sourced hyperlocal news app named Reacho. The concept is simple : You post, You spread! We have different news category like general news, humans, causes, events, jobs and bites. Currently, we are on Android. We will be on iOS soon.
Features  :
1. Spread : This is our USP feature for which we are filing a patent. Users can define the radius and spread the news. After a particular user spread the new then other users in that radius will get an in-app notification. 
2. Post : Users can post and select the category and location. He can take a picture or upload a picture form his phone gallery
3. Bookmark : Users can bookmark the post which they liked.
4. Trending : If any post is getting spread by 10 or more users then the post goes into trending.
5. Rewards : User who post the quality content will be rewarded. Rewards are mostly the coupons.
6. Notification : This is in-app notification for the spread.
7. Crisp news : We allow the description of news to be in 300 characters only! We ask our users to give due credit to the source of the news.

We want some early adopters and review from all of you. If you guy can be our beta users the it would be great!

    so since this is hyperlocal crowdsourced news – REACHO makes an interesting, relevant and sticky name. brownies for that 🙂

    BUT

    as soon as i go to your video i get very disappointed. i realise you may not want to spend on a professional video at this stage, but pls get a professional voice over – i can hear the ambient sounds in the background and pardon my candidness, the v/o used is very depressing 🙁

    i didn’t watch the entire video – i just couldn’t.

    pls chk out stagephod – they might be able to help you with a video that will help REACHO reach & grab people’s attention and interest!

    also, i noticed BITES. do you mean news bytes, right?

    you might want to change the spelling – as BITES reminds me of either dogs or food 🙂

    i’ve also taken the liberty to delete the sentence – “we don’t have a twitter handle”

    if you’re talking news – GO CREATE A TWITTER HANDLE ASAP and pls add it to the post 🙂

    trust me, you will thank me later!!

    Thanks for your inputs.  “BITES” are food news not news bytes.

    We are working on the Video. We will get it fixed.

    Thanks you for the wishes and we are happy that you liked Reacho 🙂

    Yes, we are not allowing anyone out of Nagpur to post or access our feature called “spread”. We are doing it taking into consideration that people outside Nagpur will not be able to give us a authentic Nagpur happenings. Do you think that people living outside the city should have right to post the news about the city? We welcome the feedback 🙂

  7. Sounds interesting. Looks like I am going to need a secondary Android phone as most startups go for Android app first.
