Recruitment a Major issue with Start-ups!

We are start-up based out of Delhi, facing major issue while trying to hire man power. Do do you face the similar problems and do you think its time for a new market player.

Consider looking at market leaders like Naukri, Monsters,  Times Jobs etc none of these are too promising, here are the issues you might have face while using either of them, whether you are using classified, host listing and database services, but you will find similar issue across all service offerings:

  • Most of the Services are driven by cost with extremely poor quality of service and poor customer support.
  • Poor Job Opening Management Features
  • More Focus towards generating more revenue instead of value addition and customer satisfaction.
  • False commitment by Sales & Support Team.

Hence Leading to issues like:

  • Poor Candidate Quality
  • No Conversion Tracking System
  • To Time Consuming
  • Candidate don’t review the job profile before applying for a job.
  • Candidate don’t appear for interview even after confirmation.

Basic Features that are missing:

  • Review Candidate History – Like How many times they had applied for a job in your organization, what was their status etc.
  • Blocking a Candidate to apply for a job opening – similar to blocking an employer to review your profile.
  • Interview Schedule Calender
  • Candidate Interview Confirmation
  • Validating Candidate’s CTC etc

So, Do you think its time for a new job portal? If yes, What are the features that you would like it to incorporate and how it should be different then market leaders like naukri.com, monster.com, timesjobs.com etc.

Hence, we had been thinking of starting a job portal, but before we start, we would like to take feedback to start-ups and other recruitment experts.

Here are the features that we would be looking forward too:

  • Better job opening management system with candidate history and interview schedule calender.
  • Conversion tracking system
  • Better service & customer satisfaction
  • Better profile management section for both candidate and employer.

  1. Guys Looking for everyone comments and thoughts on this. I feel we should transform this area. Need a details thought process for this. Lot of issue when it comes to recruitment these days.
