  1. hey,

sounds like fun! wish i was there….

i’d love to hear more on content marketing :))))

btw, amit mishra is the twitter expert in the house! maybe he could make a presentation on how all of us, as startups could use twitter in a more productive way?

  2. hi Abhik,

In my opinion, we can discuss on topics like:

    1) Learning from successful & unsuccessful startup – challenges faced by startup like logistics issue, liquidity crunch, manpower retention etc. – how differently things/challenges are handled by successful startup in comparison to unsuccessful startup. things to keep in mind or things to watch out 24*7 ( 2 practical case studies probably will give fair idea ).

    2) What is Mobile Marketing and how marketing is done using mobile(options available) and how to optimize it for business benefit?

    3) How your startup/product idea can become global? how to beat barriers like language and local market access and acceptance etc.?

    4) For any startup, it is very difficult to compete with major existing brands providing/offering similar services. how to tackle this as end clients always wanted to work with or preferred branded partner or service provider?

    5) In India, I heard that startup finds very difficult to get its due payment on time for the services provided/offered to Indian companies/Indian customers. how to tackle such situation so that liquidity should not become a challenge? what are the things to keep in mind to avoid such situations?

  3. oops I will miss this one again 🙁

Can you have a july date?

  4. Excellent suggestion,Asha.

Content is certainly important and most of the startups definitely miss the right strategy depending on their product and target market.

I am already pitching SLP but would definitely would love to share some key pointers on twitter if the content strategy topic gets the maximum votes.

  5. Hello,

This will be my first meetup. Excited and waiting for the day.

  6. hi amit,

if my memory doesn’t fail me, didn’t someone (shivam?) already make a presentation on SLP last year? why would you want to repeat the same topic to the same group??

my sincere request to you (and this i’ve been repeating to akshay and rahul dev for a few months now) – pls pls share your SLP experience here on trhs – everyone i’ve met says it’s the best decision they’ve ever made! but if none of you shares this experience with the rest of the 8000 rodinhooders – how will we come to know? i believe the applications are already out? so this would be a really really good time to talk about SLP on the site…

  7. Dear Abhik,

Here are some of my suggestions:

    1. How to use Social Media for Start ups for:

      • Driving Traffic
      • Controlling Bounce Rate of traffic through Social Media
      • Branding through Social Media.

    2. Motivating Team and Controlling Iteration.
    3. How to face big brands when it comes to Sales Pitches and competing with a bigger agency/company?
  8. Thanks Vishal. We will include these ideas in the final list and share a shortlist on Monday.

    Cheers

    Abhik

  9. Hi All, Previous open house was awesome. I all topics that are presented here are very imp for a business. I want to suggest a topic ” Is Cyber security really important for your business?”. I don’t know if this fits in your agenda or not, looking forward to attend this open house. 🙂

  10. Hi Abhik,

I will be coming for the first time. And am excited to hear about these two topics:

    • Does Twitter work ? How to use it effectively for SM marketing ?
    • If and When should you think of raising money for your startup ?

    Thanks. See you !

    Jatin

  11. Hi Abhik,

I will be the first timer so really excited to be part of this meet. One suggestion from my side, can we get some insights on how to crack into government sector. One can share their experiences from start-up perspective. I see this a real big challenge and some useful tips may help us all as government is a big time customer with tons of money 🙂

    Thanks

    Ritesh

  12. Is the date final ? If yes, please let me know so that I can pre-pone my Delhi Visit ? I am scheduled to visit Delhi on 29th June, but can prepone it to 21st June, if the date is fixed.

  13. Puneet,

  15. Topics on legal formalties and procedures for any startup also needs to be covered..!!!!

  16. Hey this is good news .

A small suggestion rather request to the venue finalist. Please see the venue where you can accommodate all ppl . The event in March at Gurgoan was very packed . And many ppl from back were started to leave the room in an hour or so  .So please keep in mind that we have accommodate everyone .

    All the best

  17. hi varun – thanks for your suggestion!

we’d love to have a larger venue next time – do help us find one who is willing to host us for FREE!

btw… in march we organised an Open House – which is different from a rodinhooders of city meetup. pls read abhik’s post once again. the venue – stirring minds also belongs to a rodinhooder – pranav bhatia who is always helpful and ready to host us in a heartbeat!

backgroud for the newbies: IIT Delhi is our Open House venue partner – it was their students’ exam time so they couldn’t give their seminar hall to us. iSeed graciously hosted us and we are grateful to them. a lot of us (including alok and me) were sitting on the floor up front.

in mumbai – NSE is our venue partner and we merrily spill out onto the carpet when we have 200+ attendees.

if people choose to leave – well that’s their prerogative. our Open Houses are free and open to all. everyone is welcome to walk in and walk out as they please!!

    🙂

  18. Ok Preponing my date to 27th, in a hope that I get to meet you all on 28th.

    Regards, Puneet
