As a Senior Biz Dev Mgr for South East Asia and India (International Expansion) for Amazon Appstore, you will work closely with Amazon’s senior leadership and product development teams to secure and develop strategic partnerships with major mobile, technology, and content brands. You will be required to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and effectively negotiate terms that benefit Amazon and our customers. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to leverage your understanding of the Internet, high-tech and mobile industries inside one of the world’s leading technology companies to structure innovative and impactful partnerships.

Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Managing content acquisition, including identification of new content targets, negotiation of content acquisition deals, and post-close launch activity
    • Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships and work with appropriate leaders and across all functional areas of Amazon to execute on the relationships
    • Managing our content acquisition and account management processes and systems as necessary to ensure we can meet our goals
    • Coordinating with other Amazon.com content acquisition, sales, and business development professionals to leverage established relationships and present a unified vision to our partners in the mobile and digital content segments
    • Contributing to the customer experience design by applying deep expertise in eCommerce and mobile trends

Basic Qualifications

    • Solid background in content acquisition, sales, or business development
    • Several  years in content acquisition for digital content or related wireless services
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Fluency in English 

 Preferred Qualifications

    • Demonstrated ability to create and execute on a successful content acquisition, sales, or business development strategy
    • Demonstrated competence in establishing successful partnerships with digital and mobile content companies – ability to structure, negotiate, and close high-profile deals independently
    • Strong familiarity with the mobile and digital content domain spaces
    • Technical fluency; comfort identifying key technical issues, understanding their business development implications, and discussing alternative technical solutions
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making, and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis
    • Excellent communication and persuasion skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold strategic vision
    • Tenacity and sense of urgency; the ability make things happen quickly with large, less nimble partners
    • Strong bias for action; the ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean work environment
    • Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
    • MBA desired
