The marketing strategy that worked best for your eCommerce startup!!

We usually come across a number of marketing tips and strategies to help us increase the sales. Those technique includes :

  1. Email marketing
  2. Blog writing
  3. Social media posting
  4. Google Adwords
  5. Facebook Ad campaigns, etc.

As an eCommerce startup , I am also working on all these methods to increase the visits and sales on my website. For me, Facebook ads worked the best so far (Maximum conversions took place through FB ads).

Here is a screenshot of an ad from one of my Facebook ad campaign-

I am also working with Mailchimp’s email marketing to primarily engage my existing customers and to create brand awareness among others who are just casual visitors on my website. Here is a screenshot from my dashboard.

From the average 3.5% clicks above, I got 5% new buyers who actually clicked on the links inside the email and completed the purchase.

One another GREAT and ASTONISHING stats that I just came across is that therodinhoods.wpengine.com is the second in the line to bring the maximum number of visits to my website in the past 30 days. Thanks to all who visited and reviewed my website.

Having said that, I know other methods like blogging, social media posting, etc will take time and will help in building the brand value in the long run. I would like to hear from other eCommerce start-ups that what all marketing strategies they adopted in their early stage and which strategy worked the best for them.

Thanks!

  2. Hi Anoop,

Great to see you are getting good response from your customer.

I am with this startup call Megavenues – Its a portal to find venues.

The marketing strategy is slightly different. What you mentioned all above plus I have drive Organic Traffic to the website. The people who actually look for the solution come to our website and that traffic straight count as targeted traffic which converts very well.

    To Summarize my Marketing strategy:

    1. Search Engine Optimization
    2. Social Media
    3. Google Adwords
    4. Email Marketing
    5. Blogging
    6. Facebook and Youtube Advertisements
