We use MTNL broadband for office and happy with the service. But to be on safer side we thought it is better to have a back up. One of my cousin uses Tikona and he recommended them, so we called Tikona. Tikona sales guy charged some 550 bucks as installation fee and asked a one month advance which will be adjusted against first bill. I gave him the cheque. Installation was done in 2-3 days. After 2 days the net stopped working. I called up Tikona customer care they said they take 48 hrs to attend a complain. Same day a local cable net guy offered the same plan at a lesser price. I took it and decided to discontinue Tikona service. I called up Tikona and asked them to disconnect my service (this was in feb). Also, mentioned to her that they have already taken one month advance in cheque so that settles my account as well.
In April i received bill from tikona for feb and march. I called up and informed their customer care, told them my story. The exe said tht apart from calling them I have to email to their id as well (which was ridiculous). I wanted to finish the story I did the same as told by her. I thot story is over.
I again received bill in may. I was disgusted . I called again, explained everything. Exe said that unless i clear my dues my connection will not be disconnected and they will keep sending bills. I explained them tht I dint use their net and also paid feb month's rent in advance, still the bill reflects feb months rent as unpaid. Exe said he cant do much. I thot let it be lets finish the story and paid whtever amt they asked me to pay. I again emailed them explaining the situation and informed exe. Exe assured me that everything will be done. I thot now it is end of the story.
In month of June I dint receive any bill. I thot at last the story is over.
In month of July I again received the bill. Now what the fuck is wrong with this company? Now i don't bother calling them up and explaining my situation, why shd I?
Everyday i get calls from their exe asking me to pay the bill.
When in July the courier boy came to deliver the bill, I refused to take it. He asked me "have you discontinued the service and still receiving the bills?"
I was surprised to hear that. He told me that many tikona ex-customers are facing the problem.
So AVOID TIKONA!!!
Good, and by the way i am using beam internet , just shifted from airtel.. i hope all beam customers are happy with the service but do speak out if any problem with connectivity or billing issues like that
Its been 1 month, so far no problem with beam, had faced 5 to 6 times connectivity issue but resolved soon

Your service really suck. Here is my experience with you guys.
Just like Akshay. We too are MTNL net users and wanted a backup. So we called you up. We got your number from Just Dial (they gave us because we asked for Malviya Nagar net providers). A sales guy came and asked for advance payment of Rs 2800/-. We were in dire need as our MTNL connection was not working for the past few days...and we had some really stuck work to be delivered to our clients.
So we readily gave you guys the cheque. After 3 days (yes 3 days after you took away the cheque), the sales guy came and checked whether or not he can set up the internet (yes, after taking away the cheque, they decided to check). And all he came out with was - SORRY, we don't provide our service in this area.
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?????
They took advance payment even before checking whether or not they can install connection in our area.
We asked for a refund. The sales guy told 15 days. WOW. It took them one minute to ask for the advance and they needed 15 days to refund it. This was on 15th of July.
After few days, we decided to call them up and check the situation. The exec at their Okhla Office said it takes 30 days and when we said your sales guy had said 15, he said I am not responsible for what he said. We also tried contacting the sales guy who didn't pick the call even after continuous trials.
To add to the whole anguish, we received a mail on 25th from TIKONA which said your payment will be refunded in 30 days. That was it. We called the executive once again warned him of going to consumer court. He talked so badly, i wonder how they do business. It's only recently say one week before that we finally got the payment.
The climax of the story is today we procure services from a local net wallah, who agreed to a PDC since we wanted to check his services first.
TIKONA people, we are glad you don't provide service in our area, otherwise you would have haunted us just like what you did to Akshay.

That shows there is no co-ordination and communication within the company. Sales is unaware where the service is provided.

Currently there is no issue in accessing the internet.

Happened to me also. After several phone calls and headache got the refund of Rs.1800/- after 2/3 months. Worst player in market.
