What should i do to get my business started in a systematic way?

I’m willing to start up my own business and currently i work for eCommerce portal (eBay) and have a major question of – where to start from?

i want to start up my small time business by the end of this year and i have been planning some outlay for the same, but even after getting clear what i have to do, i still have my major question of “from where to start up?”

I have been working as business development executive for 3yrs now and i have not been totally qualified educationally due to some personal factors, but have a good experience in tech and sales industry and really tensed that due to it i would not be at all to get any investors as i have been told by few of my friends that they will also see my education for the same now i have some clear goals set up for me and i will try to do it.

But when i think of someone who can help me with investment i find myself in confusions, and i don’t know what to do in this coz i have lots to learn of what to do and how to do, i do have my own resources and have few ideas which i have been working on from last year, so please help me to get this straight “What should i do to get my business started in a systematic way.”

First of all,decide on what exactly you plan to ‘start up’,you still seem unsure of that.Only after you know that can you look to get the idea,its concept and execution validated,

Secondly,you should not be worrying about investors as of yet,try bootstrapping and if you prove that your idea is commercially viable,investors will come to you regardless of your educational background.

hi smit,

i have a clear sight as i have to get this start up for exports of goods and as i been working for 3 yrs now in same stream and have basics of of the same as my job profile is too related to it. I want to get this on offline as well as online with my custom site ( which is yet to be designed ) as i have 3-4 kind of resources available and with enough credibility for sourcing them from traders my major issue comes with the technical and operational part where as in i have to look into.

i need an insight of how and what is to be done to get this started as i have a proper goal of what i want and the exports industry in goods is much growing as well in the eCommerce too its really good to be in so i need to know how should i start for setting up this business from scratch as i wish to be a entrepreneur professionally. so please help me to understand this.

okay I guess I get it,what you are asking. You want to start your venture that is related to your current job profile? In that case,it would be easier to suggest you something if you clarify what exactly you wish to do.

I wish to start a venture which will be in eCommerce segment related to exports, but i much confused to where to start from ? my biggest hurdle is the working capital which i have to really work hard for. I have been in contacts with several friends from tech and marketing backgrounds but on operational hand I’m worried how to get things aligned properly. and also please suggest me what should be the basics to start up an eCommerce venture for exports what all i would be needing to focus on ?

The details still sound too generalized. Anyways,whatever it is,just bootstrap it in the start.And for as long as possible,don’t let go of your current job.

These days,you can setup an eCommerce website in a day’s time with read-to-use templates with minimal IT skills.Take it from there and see as it goes.
