That's cause they have 8-9 million dollars given by VCs to burn and achieve 'growth' http://goo.gl/h21qG. They are achieving it by showng bra and panty clad women to you and me ...

Nobody told them that they can also invest the money in improving their technology / supply chain (possibly they don't get enough orders to worry about it .. but who cares cause the growth slide shows hockey stick pageviews .. right?)

If nothing else, digital advertising and overall internet usage in India is growing due these e-commerce guys .. so more power to them !!!

Well, i did.

There was an ad for cilory.com on the left hand bar of my FB page and i just clicked it....an impulse.

Maybe the curvaceous girls caught my attention. As it happened , the deals were great and the they were offering COD and so i went for it.

To my surprise, i got an instant confirmation call followed by an email and the product arrived in exactly three days.

Now , this i what i call service and Yes...people do buy bras and panties for their wives / girlfriends / mistresses etc

And yes, when they arrive they take care ( at least the cilory.com guys) not to announce the shipment in any way and it is nicely packed and delivered by bluedart guys. As it happened it was my mother who received the shipment and i was relieved to find that it had been nicely packed without declaring the goods inside..

And yes i am 40 year old CEO buying lingerie for my wife.... :)

Saves me the hassle of facing an embarrased store girl or being alone surrounded by girls chosing their bras and panties.. and i didnt know that yebhi.com sells them so maybe will check them out in future for any good deals ;)

How can we be sure that CEOs dont buy bra and panties. May be CEOs are buying b&p for gifting purpose? May be this is their way of attracting people to their webpage?

I think they missed the target market but then these days you never know who might be interested. Although, I find the name a little stupid and only makes sense for the 'north Indian"/ 'hindi knowing'  limited audience.
