I write to you after a while, due to many reasons, but the most important one is this:
Therodinhoods.com is now an independent, self propelled, self-run, ‘Startship’, traversing the Milky Ways of Entrepreneurship with a FORCE of 6500 crew members on board!!!
Who cares where the Captain is 🙂 ??
Today is a special day, ‘coz exactly this day, 3 years back, I launched therodinhoods.wpengine.com as 1 man, single solo soldier!

What happened to therodinhoods just 3 years hence?
Everything that you can think of! 6500 Members, events, parties, business tie-ups, wins, losses, gains, pains… and the rest of the gravy train that all entrepreneurs and enterprising folks ride.
Today, wherever I go people KNOW therodinhoods and what it STANDS FOR AND DELIVERS – not because it’s a cute funny name or because some old, thanda dotcom guy of the 90’s is involved in it.
Lessons, takeaways?
– DO what you ENJOY and ENJOY to the fullest. Your rewards will be beyond your expectations
– GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE. You will Get, Get, Get, Get and Get
– DON’T BE AFRAID OF ANYTHING or anybody.
– BE proud to TRY – screw succeeding or failing. They are just stupid verbs.
– Trust in a higher force, an energy, your soul, your conscience to guide and help you.

Read this mail earlier in the day, and i was like WOW! 3 years! That’s awesome stuff!! And even though you’ve been a serial entrepreneur Alok, to have seen this community grow the way its grown must make you really really happy too! 🙂
Just posting my random personal thoughts about my experience with this community and Alok. Must have been almost 3 years ago that my friend Neeraj Mehta introduced the Rodinhoods to me. The forum was still pretty young, and i just happened to become a member since i was just about to hop on to the entrepreneurship bandwagon. The first meetup in Delhi NCR was held in Gurgaon, and couldn’t make it since it was too far. Followed/Befriended Alok on facebook since then and kept getting all these interesting and inspiring updates about entrepreneurship and life in general 🙂
Soon this community started growing, and maybe an year or so later Asha became full time editor (correct me if i am wrong). The article’s kept becoming interesting, even i contributed once or twice, and the best part was that here was a community of all these struggling (and some established) entrepreneurs, each giving each other a hand and a shoulder as and when either was needed. I don’t really know or care about the hits of the number of members this forum has, but what i do know is that for me, and for sure many other like me, this forum itself became a kind of a community school, where you meet other like minded souls, interact and learn a lot in the process. I haven’t been too regular with the offline meetups, but this blog/website/community itself has meant a lot to me 🙂
So thank you Alok, thank you Asha, and thank you everybody else who has made Rodinhoods what it is today. There’s one particular statement in the mail above that stands out for me “GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE. You will Get, Get, Get, Get and Get”, a true believer of the same, and i guess everybody who has helped each other out in this brief journey, has somewhere experienced the same 🙂

just day before y’day i met pranav bhatia and he said prateek is the social media dude! and i took note to reach out to you, but you beat me to it!!!
