Gamifying Workplace Challenges!

Beginning with a disclaimer – It has taken immense courage on my part to post an article around a mobile game…especially on a platform that is run by the ‘Jedi’ of mobile gaming! Kindly treat with kindness.

Happ Coach is a solution-focused platform providing coaching, training and mentorship modules around specific workplace challenges. This sounds nice on the pitch deck, but the market-place is a whole new ball game. The need is immense, just that it might not be immediate! The deep-rooted expectation we are up against is – parents will pay for our education and the organization will sponsor our training!

As the workplace gets more demanding and all of us start factoring in the opportunity loss of not achieving one’s potential, the need and subsequently the demand for life coaching is bound to skyrocket.

Happ Coach is currently working with large corporates and startups in the area of training and coaching and continues to push the boundaries with custom-crafted modules using principles of Neuroscience. However, breakthrough growth and scalability will be achieved once there is B2C traction.

We had 2 options…

  • Stand and wait for the category to suitably develop
  • Try and grow the category through regular awareness and interventions

Obviously, as entrepreneurs we are programmed to opt for the latter. Ask any marketer, category-building is as tough as it gets. Mindlessly burning marketing dollars will get you no where.

Corporate Snakes and Ladders is an idea-focused endeavor in this direction. It takes the classical board game and adds a corporate twist. The game is replete with the mean boss, extravagant perks and the odd pitfall to replicate the experience of growing through the ranks in the workplace. Download here…

The core objective of the game is to make you experience the ebb and flow of emotions in the workplace and in the process subliminally seed the message of how a life coach can help you better navigate through the proverbial ‘snakes’ and ‘ladders’.

Do share your honest feedback. This is a first step in a rather challenging space and we will definitely benefit from the multiplier effect of the collective minds on this platform.

Thank You!
