[Market Scope] Providing Callback (Click2Call) solutions at one fourth rate

Hello,

I was just thinking if we should also start providing callback solutions as well ( But at much cheaper rates than competitors )

I googled a bit over net and learned that there are ample of callback service providers but their cost structure pulled my attention. On an average a callback service provider offers callback for Rs. 1.5 to Rs. 2 per minute….

So there was a pain area, our first thought to the idea was, to see if we could avail the service at half or one fourth rate….and essentially it seemed quite possible with our hosted solutions. But still I am unsure if the callback service has enough scope in india.

Another sub-idea was born from this, which was about availing ‘Call Anywhere Within India @ 40ps per minute’ ( Irrespective of your telecom provider , Roaming status, STD Calls etc etc )

Please share your opinion and suggestions on how about moving ahead with this idea, does it have enough response in india. ( Considering SMB Market / Call Centres )

  1. Hey Rahul, the first time I read your post I could not understand it frankly. Probably because you did not provide any background to what Callback service is about. I guess this is exactly what you are talking about – “a method of making low-cost international calls via a third country, usually the US, where call charges are considerably lower.” (Wiki)

    Now I am not too sure about the utility of this but I guess for outbound processes, if you can provide a cost difference, this can be a hit. As a business, we started using a cloud telephony service a few months ago. (incidentally by another of our Rodinhooders – Puneet Kaura). Maybe you can touch base with him for your idea. Their solution (your sub-idea) is what we use but they charge a little more than 40ps pm. But then the drawback is that you get charged twice, because actually you call 2 numbers, so it becomes 40ps*2 = 80ps pm – you cannot beat landline with this rate.

    Yes, The idea is somewhat similar to what you described above, But the approach / solution to it would be much more economic than what market players are providing.

    The overall idea behind click2call solution is, ( Considering businesses/ start-ups )
    ABC.com can put a ‘callback button’ on their website & a customer of ABC.com can reach ABC’s staff with just a missed call / web form / direct dial etc ways.

    So ABC.com can implement a virtual call centre, without physically setting up any device / infra, they can route calls to their existing devices / mobile phones and can leverage every advantage of call centre solutions ( such as call recordings, call routing, crm integration etc etc ).

    And while availing this solution, our major emphasis is around ‘the cost factor‘, As you rightly pointed there are 2 calls made in the callback process and this is the only reason which increases the callback / click2call pricing to above Rs. 1 per minute….Additionally if you are making an outbound ‘std’ call then you are charged even more ( for std dialing )…Umm..but this is the scene with existing solution providers.

    To Challenge the existing market pricing, we are devising our own algorithms, which could avail improvised solutions but at much economical rates of <= 40 Ps per minute. ( With no additional cost for call recording, crm integration etc etc )

    Going a step further, we also have plans to avail smartphone apps/ provision for individuals / retail market, where they can make local / std calls at 30/40 Ps per minute, irrespective of the provider, state etc.

    Considering the pain area around callback PRICING, we did couple of experiments around Telephony Implementations and finally have cracked down a way which would help everyone in saving costs by upto 80-85% )

    We would be launching these services soon, for as low as 30 paise per minute or even lesser…
