Need help in making monetization strategy for my Snakes & Ladders 3D mobile game

Hello,

We have been working on a mobile game called Snakes & Ladders 3D since almost a year now. And finally the game is out now.

Links:

Google Play

App Store

The traction so far has been decent.

The number of daily downloads are increasing day by day in Play store with total of around 4500 installs (2750 current installs) till now.

And in iOS, downloads are varying quite hugely but overall the traction has been good. Total downloads in iOS is 2455 till now in 10 days.

So far so good.

I wanted to see the traction first and based on the response I wanted to put more efforts on the game.

So as of now we are not monetizing our game.

If you have read till now, I would be glad if you can download the game and see how it works. Because in order to understand the question I have, you need to play the game and understand the mechanics.

Right now in the game, we have got 8 characters (basically there are two characters and then we have 4 variants of both those characters)

We are working on few things as of now in order to improve our game, but I am not too sure about how to monetize the game well.

Features we are working on right now are:

  1. Twisted mode of the game (giving more powers to the users on board)
  2. Wifi Multiplayer
  3. Online Multiplayer
  4. Adding more characters in the game (7 more unique characters with each character having his/ her own Snakes and Ladders animation)

 My questions are

  1. How should I charge the users?
  2. How much should I price everything?
  3. How to increase the LTV of a user?

Thank you for taking a look.

P.S.: As of now, I am not planning to integrate the ads in the game. I am looking for strategies to monetize my game well through In App Purchase.

Regards,

  3. Tejas,
May I ask, what kind of people are playing the game ? What age, which city, what interests etc ?
One way to monetize it, and also increase engagement on the game, is to talk to Dining brands.

For each action that they take Or Level that they complete on the game or win, they get – say 10 (or X) Rs. Dining Credit at local Dining outlet in their city.
Or a 10 Rs. recharge for their MetroCard or 10 Rs. recharge in their mobile phone (typing up with PayTM or FreeCharge)
Or maybe some grocery credit from BigBasket.

Imagine the kid saying to his mom “Mom, I got you a free dabba of milk by playing Snakes and Ladders” 🙂

  4. Thank you very much Puneet for the reply.

Your idea is good, but I think its quite a huge work in itself to talk to dining people and get the coupons from there. Plus, this will definitely increase the retention but getting revenue from the users would be difficult, so it wont server the basic purpose of monetization.

But having said that, its a very good idea and if time permits, I’ll definitely look into this area.

    Regards,

    Tejas
