Thank you for being a teacher to me

Hey there! Thanks for being a teacher to me. It has been a real privilege to be your student.

Yes, I am talking to you — the one reading this article. I know that you may not know me, but still you have been a teacher to me, and I would like to thank you for that.

I may have interacted with you over the internet, or read an article of yours and felt enlightened. Or perhaps you are the LinkedIn connection I just made. I was impressed by your profile, and wanted to learn more about you, and your work. I hope you’ll accept me as your student.

I saw you in the face of an old uncle today, sitting next to me in the bus, offering me your lunch before having it yourself. You are my mentor as well — teaching me how to get my startup idea out into this world. I have been learning a lot from you. You are that sweet little girl too whom I met in the metro yesterday. You taught me to live in the present. I fell happy to have learnt that from you.

You are my ex as well. You taught me how to love and let go. I dearly miss you. Yes I still do. And I hope you have gotten a better student now.

You are the chotu chaiwala I meet every evening for a glass of masala tea and a new business lesson. Thank you for being my guide.

I also met you yesterday when I talked to the security guard of our hostel. Your tough life and struggle motivates me. Thank you for being an inspiration.

You are that friend of mine that I love talking to. I feel so happy and relieved. You make me boost my self confidence. Thank you!

Hey you, thanks for being my guiding light. I appreciate all that you have done for me from the bottom of my heart. I just hope you’ll always have me as your student. Thank you!

Happy Teachers Day.

I like to learn a lot from the people I meet everyday — in real and virtual life. And I have been trying to implement those learning in the execution of my startup — Learnifi. If you happen to be curious about it, you may want give a short little visit here.

It would be all the more awesome if your could share this article with my other teachers as well. They might not find the link to it otherwise. Please help me. Thank you! 🙂
