THERE IS NO POINT RUNNING ON A ROAD WHICH IS A WRONG ROAD

This is what Mr. Akash Gautam has to say after his facebook group was deleted by facebook without any prior intimation and later could only be restored by the efforts of The Rodinhood.

I am Akash Gautam , CEO of www.akashgautam.com – an organization into Training & Motivating youth.

We identified Facebook as the ideal platform to do a few career mentoring and value additive activities. Thinking good about Facebook ; we started a Group – ‘Akash ka Vocab Dhaba’ almost 10 months back .

The dhaba (group) had nearly 4000 members from across the world. It took us a lot of hard work to get these people to join the group. e.g. it meant taking a lot of presentations in schools , colleges etc . There was absolutely no commercial activity happening out of this group.

One fine afternoon – I suddenly receive a mail from the facebook that the Group (Akash ka Vocab Dhaba) has been removed …

I WAS SHOCKED TO DISBELIEF .

REASON :- WITHOUT ANY PRIOR WARNING / NOTICE

If there was anything that was going not properly – we should have been intimated and been given a chance to correct it .

Our entire content , credibility had gone in thin air and we felt very lost…

Facebook had brought question marks about it in the minds of many a people.

NO WARNING and FB just removes every thing ….

I had discussed this issue with my friend Umang Sonthalia, a student at St. Xavier’s Kolkata. He passed on this problem to his friend Mr. Alok Kejriwal.

It was unbelievable. These two got in touch with the Facebook people and conveyed our problem.

Apparently, the group had been deleted erroneously. Though Facebook returned our group and all the hard work, it puts a question on Facebook’s own credibility.

However, I and my 4000+ members of ‘Akash Ka Vocab Dhaba’ are really thankful to Mr. Alok Kejriwal for bringing us our group back from non-existence.
