Let me give you a preview of some of the most common questions I get asked in social gatherings...:

1. What do you REALLY…

Why I may leave facebook permanently in coming years?

Direct reasons

1) I have realized I am growing and have moved away from being a teenager to a young boy and now moving towards a age which is called “Responsibility”.

2) Like me, my all batch mates are turning to 26- 27-28-29-30 and most of them are married now, some have children(s). This mean I am not seeing anyone of them active on facebook and it makes me to login less. I know I am not going to get updates about their life on facebook so…

The 10 lessons I learnt from my Asian Games Campaign

1. Vision: I started my 2006 Asian games campaign as far back as 2002. The vision of a medal in 2006 is what drove me to train from 2002 till 2006. When I started, it was not clear which event I would be participating or the path to get that medal.

The original vision for iLogo was to organize the fragmented & disorganized business of custom T-Shirts globally. This has kept us going through all challenges.

 2. Perseverance &…

The First Crore

Just heard of Rodinhood and signed up!

I have been a first generation entrepreneur, fresh out of college at 21. It was a super 7yr roller coaster ride - many lows & a few great highs. Recognition from the likes of Business Week & abject failures.

Finally, in June 2011, I gave up and took up a job. Started keeping a blog to analyze my reasons for failure and create a…

The Situation Is Hopeless, But Not Serious

If the pink papers are to be believed then we are in throes of an economic crisis again. Which is strange cos it seems just like a year ago that we came out of it. Oh, wait. It was a year ago. Comparing something to 1929 makes for good drama but what is really dramatic is when you compare on crisis to a one just a year ago. And the one a year ago was called the Biggest That We Have Ever…

Is India Stagflating?

Sort of.

Stagflation is when Inflation rises even though the pace of economic growth slows down. So in a strict sense yes, we are.

However, the late learned Mr.Keynes conveniently ignored the “political angle” of economics at times. Why are prices rising in India? In other words what is causing Inflation?

So, is it a Supply Side or a Demand Side phenomenon?

The poor monsoons is the only indicator of reduced Supply. The jury,…

Book a table and while you're at it... Experience your city...

We work hard during the week, looking forward to the weekends to rejuvenate us. But with city life being the way it is today and the needs of the insatiable human spirits makes us easily bored with options we have around us.

A search for some such rekindling source lead me on a journey through the vastness of the worlds best library of information, in short a search on google... brought me to a unique page called Poshvine.com. Was in in for a surprise. Fun with Food was what I had…

Tell me if you want to build next Infosys…

…. at least I can know your ambition.

Had a very long meeting with this client today and while having lunch he said ‘ its ok to say I want to build next Infosys…at least this gives an idea about your ambition. Achievement is not important but knowing where you want to reach is important.’

The sentence is not a motivational statement or a philosophy…if you read it properly and understand it…it makes you to understand about something very…

Service Leadership!

When I first read about Ron Kaufman’s workshop a few days ago, the words “Service Vision and how to articulate this vision...” caught my attention, and I immediately decided to attend the workshop without any second thoughts, as I was thinking of something very similar for my business at that moment. I felt this could be a perfect opportunity to learn more on servicing our many internal and external customers at inlingua. After attending the workshop on Friday, I felt it was worth the…

How to Live Like a Man…Not a Donkey, Dog or Monkey

In my collection of short stories that I have found on the Internet or in books and magazines, here is one that I believe carries a deep meaning, and a harsh truth, for our lives.

Here it goes.

God created the donkey and said to him:

“You will be a donkey. You will work un-tiringly

From sunrise to sunset carrying burdens on your back

You will eat grass, you will have no intelligence

And you will live 50 years.”

The donkey answered:

“I will be a donkey,…

Live your College Life, Learn from your Experiences

A short story:

A guy in a distant land wanted to go to a jungle and stay there for some time. He wanted to explore something new, discover his abilities, take a break from his routine life and meet new creatures. After much reluctance from his parents, he was allowed to go to the jungle. In the jungle he became friends with many animals. A few months later when he finally departed for his home, the animals wept for him.

His parents were shocked…

15 Things You Must Know About Your Money

“You write so much about what your readers need to know about money and investing,” said my wife as I sat down to write my next post. “Why don’t you write what people must know about their money? You know, the real truth about money…like the 10 commandments on money?”

As always, I thought she had a point. :-)

So, here are a few ideas – not 10, but 15 – that I’ve picked along the way, and that I believe are some of the most…

Secret to achieving goals!

This January, when everyone was putting up their list of goals and resolutions for the year, even I took it up as a game and just for fun, scribbled a few goals on one of the FB groups I was part of. Later I completely forgot about it, until a couple of weeks ago when I started collating my writings on to a blog. Suddenly, I realized writing a blog was one of the goals I had set out along with a few other goals. The other one was to double the turnover of the business and I’d done it. If not…
