Running, Entrepreneurship, & Belief.
"To run longer distances, you need to love and embrace the exhaustion and not resist it." -- Anonymous runner.
Dear fellow Rodinhooder,
I've been training very hard for the Mumbai half marathon. One day, while training, I started thinking about how entrepreneurship is so similar to running a marathon. I started thinking about "festina lente" or "making haste slowly" and how it could be used as a strategy to cross the finishing line in both. I…

The 10 lessons I learnt from my Asian Games Campaign
1. Vision: I started my 2006 Asian games campaign as far back as 2002. The vision of a medal in 2006 is what drove me to train from 2002 till 2006. When I started, it was not clear which event I would be participating or the path to get that medal.
The original vision for iLogo was to organize the fragmented & disorganized business of custom T-Shirts globally. This has kept us going through all challenges.
2. Perseverance &…

Entrepreneurship and Meditation

Through a series of experiments and brain scans, she showcases how meditation can change the size of key regions of…

How to let 100s of Apples and Steve Jobs bloom!!!
Ok, let me ask this, what do you think made Steve Jobs or Apple great? innovative? superb? Many will say their products, their technology, maybe Alok will also say their packaging, right Alok? even their pursuit of wow or their meticulous ways of working! Yes, all this added on to make Apple what it is today but the most important ingredient according to me for Apple or Job's success is the ecosystem in which it grew, matured…

Social media observations (and lessons to learn !)
One of the privileges of being a tech entrepreneur is that I get to use Facebook regularly (while claiming that it is merely part of my job).
Of course, there are ways and more ways to use Facebook.

For a few (myself included), Facebook…

I come from a family with a 'professional' background - my father is a retired senior lecturer in mathematics, while my brother is a specialist in internal medicine. My parents always emphasized the importance of education and how educational qualifications will always stay with you, as opposed to money, which can be lost.
However, for some reason I always wanted to be rich, even when I was a small schoolchild. I never really wanted to be educated and in fact, I looked upon…
