Online Shopping
Yeah !! you know about it, you've been shopping a lot online. You've spent ages, hopping from site to site in search of the lowest price and have become a shopping-ninja. You can even find the best price from the millions of results Google returns in just (0.47 seconds).
But still there are few things you may have missed. So I (ex-shopping-ninja) thought of sharing my observations to help fellow buyers.
The Best Price Hunt - You put in lot of efforts in finding the lowest price before making a purchase. Online purchase decisions, mostly are not instantaneous (I am not talking about tickets here). Hunt continues till you're not sure on the champion seller. (which may even take a week or two)
But is it the best price at the time of your purchase ??? Well may be !!
Or may be not, because Product Prices Fluctuate . Yes !!! they do a lot. AND I am not talking about the depreciating price of electronics over time. C'mon...everyone knows that a blackberry released at 20,000 may drop to 15,000 after six months.
What I noted is - Online stores keep changing the prices many times in a month and sometimes even 3-4 times in a week. And fluctuations mean both Price Hikes and Price Drops.

So If you follow the prices before making a purchase, you may get a price drop.
( I now follow the prices before buying. )

Comment by Puneet Sharma on April 26, 2012 at 6:48pm Dr. Sourabh - Rediff mostly remain in their own world... ha ha ha. But they sometimes do surprise with jaw dropping price drops.
Retailer's behavior can not be concluded only by looking at these two products. They're selling too many, and change too often.
Comment by Dr.Sourabh R.Welling on April 26, 2012 at 6:29pm So looking over the charts it can be concluded that Letsbuy and Flipkart are checking out others rates more aggressively and offering rates that are lower than those of others especially Flipkart . Flipkart charges highest or at a higher end for first few days or weeks and later reduces the rates to that of the lowest And Rediff is in their own world .
