Hello Everybody
I am into food business in the QSR segment. As I am facing some fierce competition from my competitors,I want some insights from you guys specifically who have travelled abroad. I want to know about a food item which is very popular worlwide, will be suitable to Indian taste buds, still not explored so much in India and the cost of per serving should be typically in the range of Rs.5-15 and not more than that. The item can be food, drinks, ice creams anything. It is better if that item is drinks since the cost of serving a glass of any hot or cold drink is less than any serving of food item.It should be noted that though the item will be a low cost one it should not be perceived as a low cost item. The ideal example of this kind of product is Ice Cream or Coffee Outlets or Soft drinks Fountain machines in Malls or Pizza etc.Recently I saw a new concept in a mall in Kolkata called Snow Gola you can check there FB link
https://www.facebook.com/SnowGola
It’s unique, scalable, low cost and is done in such a way that it can easily compare to the taste of any ice cream.
Please feel free to give whatever feedback you have.
Thanks

That made my day.Sir since you have travelled a lot around the world can you please suggest anything in hot or cold beverages or ice cream kind of stuff quite famous abroad but not so much explored in India. The margins in beverages is quite high compared too food stuff.Ex:-Coffee outlets

Hi Karan
In India people are not so much fans of mocktails. They prefer fresh juice from a single source like Mango,Oranges better than mocktails. But would still try it out.Something specific related to mocktails you would like to suggest.
Again thanks for your suggestions.

In the price factor ‘Jhal Muri’ a Calcutta product, that is accepted all over, but not available. Somebody has begun manufacturing pre packaged for around 8-10 bucks and does well. No heating/warming/training required.
