Hi Rodinhooders,
Along with more than 200 other folks, I trudged along to the venue of The Rodinhoods Delhi Open House expecting yet another start-up meetup.
And boy was I wrong! The energy, dynamism and sheer enthusiasm of the crowd and the organisers blew me away.
Some takeaways
A great opportunity the event threw up was for networking with some very bright, enthusiastic and creative minds.
The discussions too were very action packed, and there was not a dull moment as the audience probed, commented and cheered. And at the front was Alok, resplendent in his role as the pied piper. And he pretty much held the audience captive for the better part of two hours.
The presentations included a launch, a very deep discussion on the right questions to ask while starting up and presentations by some emerging entrepreneurs.
The vakilsearch presentation
vakilsearch is on a vision and mission to make the entire legal process simple. We want to make getting the help of a lawyer, CA or company secretary as easy as buying lunch or shopping for your next phone on Flipkart.
All you need to do to get our support is to log on, click a few buttons and call us / ask for a call back.
It was delightful to see the number of participants who had already used our service, and talking to the ecstatic customers as well as those who offered food for thought.
To see our presentation if you missed the talk, check out:
Food for thought
The Raison d’etre for events like these is brainstorming on key questions facing all businesses. I just thought I’d list the challenges as I see them.
The first challenge is hiring and keeping the best minds motivated for several years and make them give their best efforts to the Company.
Secondly, retaining the personal touch and high service quality when you have a large team working for you is a challenge every growing business grapples with.
Finally, sticking to your vision and not letting the lure of immediate gain sway you stares every start-up in the face.
If any of you have suggestions or thoughts on these, do comment or write in to me.
Once again, kudos to the RodinHoods for creating a great event, super glad that I was able to be a part of it and can’t wait for more such opportunities to interact. Bye for now!
