A Few Somethings features Amazing home decor products crafted by people for your home at their home.

Our Story and Background:-

We are surrounded by creative and enterprising family and friends, a lot of them are running some sort of small business, from making bedcovers to picture frames or painting to trays.

Unfortunately you and I cannot buy their products if we don’t live in the same city as them or don’t know them personally!

During one discussion with our cousins, we learnt the effort required in selling what they make. This includes putting up a stalls at multiple an exhibitions to promote and sell their products and constant word of mouth advertising. This is in addition to other challenges from finding material, good labour and reliable delivery channels. Furthermore they had to do all this within a tight budget to ensure that their products were affordable.

Yet they went about creating and selling. It is amazing to see the passion they have for creating new things!!

When we looked at this model we realised that there are limited channels in which a micro business like theirs can reach new customers. Sure now you have Ebay, Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal but their focus is more towards mass produced items and not hand crafted products made in very small quantities.

This gave us the idea to create a marketplace especially developed and promoted to sell products designed and or made at home by these amazingly creative people.

Hence, A Few Somethings idea was born in 2013.

Since then we have worked to ensure all the ducks are lined up to launch the website. Which is finally launched in November 2014.
At A Few Somethings, you will find interesting and exquisite home decor products like picture frames, trays, coasters, photographs, trinket boxes, mirrors, wall decorations, book shelves, clocks made by entrepreneurs, designers, artists and others in their homes or on a small scale.

To ensure we are uniquely positioned, we don’t have mass produced products, screen and select only vendors who make the most gorgeous pieces to be featured on this site. The selection is done by a tough jury of homemakers who have exquisite taste, which ensures that you will not be able to resist buying everything that’s on the site.

The site was founded by Ankit and Anchal Manglik.

Ankit is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in the industry for over 15 years and Anchal is a homemaker who is also a software engineer having worked with IBM for over 10 years.
