All right, I know I have been off the forum for quite sometime but things been quite busy at work. Will be trying to be more active from now.
Today, 24th April was a day when I was looking forward to a lot since the past few months for today was the day when we as citizens got to vote. While I was fortunate enough to be able to vote quite easily a lot of us were shocked to know that our names are not on the list. am sure many on TRHS too may have faced this and hence thought of posting MY PETITION HERE and get your feedback and possible suggestions.
The Content is as follows:
Chief Electoral Officer, Don’t Deprive us of our right to vote!
Sir,
Today, 24th April 2014 was a day marked by us as the one where we, the citizens of this nation were to exercise our right to vote for the next Prime Minister. but it is shocking and appaling to know that a lot of the names have mysteriously dissapeared from the electoral rolls. As responsible citizens, we have made it our duty to check the rolls repeatedly and have done this even a week before the elections just to be sure.
This dissapearance of names is something shocking and we as citizens of the world’s largest democracy feel deprived. Not only are first time voters facing a problem but also senior citizens and noted celebrities like Shri Atul Kulkarni, a noted Actor, Mr. Deepak Parekh, chairman of HDFC bank to name a few are victims of this error.
We request you to hold re-elections for all those whose names have been deleted and thus help us do our duty.
