I would just to know your views on this idea of mine. Me along with 2 of my friends are starting up a website to help game developers in India. People say that the game developed in India are not worth it, but our view is that they are not getting any better because of the problem they usually face. As of now in Indian gaming industry there is no platform where indie developers can reach out to users put out their release dates and get proper feedback on the games from users. So aim of our website is to provide one common platform to these indie developers.
Also being a game developer I am faced by this question many times from school students on FB, that how to start as a game developer in India what are the right things to do and learn. As game development industry is still budding in India there is a great potential ahead. So we also aim to create a section in our website to help these students. This section will include articles on where they should start and what is the direction they should move in for the same.
We also aim to deliver news specifically related to Indian gaming Industry. And let people know that game development exists in India. As when I tell people that I am a game developer no one understand what it really means, they think its like playing a game. They dont know about games made in India, some of which are really great and have great potential.
Please provide us your insights on the same, help us improve and correct us if we are wrong at some thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
