Great things are happening at Adepto! This week we closed our first round of funding from Blume Ventures and the Rajiv Dadlani Group. For any start-up this is a significant achievement in its life and we are taking a moment to celebrate the event.
Some of my friends asked me the inside story of this funding story. I think it is a result of doing a couple of things right.
For example, we made a good pitch when we met Alok Kejriwal and he agreed to be our advisor. We are proud to have Alok on board and true to our belief he has brought in a lot of value to our business. Then, Sanjay and Karthik of Blume Ventures are the nicest investors you could meet. They are disarmingly honest and searingly passionate about what they do. Rajiv Dadlani has known us since the time we started off and has advised us right through, constantly guiding us through the process that would make us investment ready.
The other side of the story is our belief in Trol.ly, the vision we have for it, its advanced design, market potential, and the execution talents of the team at Adepto. This investment is a true endorsement of all of the above.
We are now ready to take off on our vision to make Trol.ly the default social commerce solution for the world’s online retail businesses. USA is one of our major target markets and the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition in San Diego next week is a great opportunity for us to showcase it to the world.
For every hardship that entrepreneurs face, there are many moments that make them worth it. Sitting alone in a hotel room in San Francisco at 2.30 in the night and writing this post about our funding success is certainly one of them.
