Anybody using Prezi?

Hi,

I am doing some work with Prezi – the alternative to PowerPoint (www.prezi.com) and they want to talk to some people in India who have been using the product. If there are any of you out there that have and would like to talk to the people at Prezi then please leave a comment or write to me at spencer.waldron@zoostr.com

thanks

Spencer

  1. Nope,

I prefer to use Google docs presentation for my personal presentations. Keeping presentations private without paying is the reason for my choice 🙂

  2. I love Prezi, especially the 3D effects are awesome.

  3. Hi

I have been using prezi since last 2-3 years now.

  4. I am very disappointed by Prezi.

Its too complicated and takes a long time to really PERFECT

I think words speak stronger than gimmicks.

Also saw a prominent lady present a Prezi PPT in a conference recently – the size blew out of the screen and the Presentation became unmanageable.

Sorry, but I dont touch it…

  5. i use reveal.js

i tried prezi  once and it didnt load at times and my colleagues yelled at me 🙂

prezi needs to somehow become seamless , unobtrusive .

the 3d / fun-show is not enough to use it all the time .we need seamless behaviour , fast loading , responsive , device compatibility .

i wish code runs from within the presentation some day .

  6. Used for some time couple of years ago. Wasn’t a big fan. Could be better now.

  8. Hi Alok,

Good feedback. thanks. I think Prezi is like any tool, you need to learn how to use it and it takes time. PowerPoint is the same, its very easy to make a bad job of a presentation if you don’t take time to learn the tool.

I’ve heard from a lot of people who like Prezi because it gives them the feeling of a blank canvas or whiteboard that they can start to put ideas on and then connect them into a story.

I’ve dug out some examples of great Prezi’s to show:
