I am Udaya Prakash, an entrepreneur from bangalore and a long time lurker here. I will be launching my startup in a month’s time, it is called www.ayadu.com – A peer to peer online rental marketplace, where you will be able to rent out your stuff to people and also rent stuff from them.
The idea for ayadu came when I was working on my last startup. We were building an iOS app and we needed a mac book pro for a week and din’t find place where we could rent one at a nominal price. We did get it from a friend who was not using it at that time and that was when the idea struck me about creating a peer to peer rental marketplace. Moreover, I myself have a Nikon D90, a bike and macbook that I don’t use on a regular basis and It would be great to rent it people who would actually use it and inturn make some money in the process.
Please checkout www.ayadu.com and tell me what you guys think, all suggestions and criticisms are welcome.
And spl thanks to Asha she almost immediately replied to a query of mine, even though she must have been super busy managing rodinhoods with its 7000+ users.
Have a great day,

hey udaya,
the concept is great but only if you make the process seamless for the consumers.

How do you plan on acquiring users ? Renting out your digital camera or similar expensive stuff to strangers .. doesn’t sound realistic.
what has your response been so far ?
