My name is Nitin Batra.
I am running a small tea shop where I sell blended tea. I prepare my blend with 13 different types of tea from Assam and Dooars (never use South and North Indian gardens at all). This blend costs me Rs ~230/- to 240/- and I sell it at Rs 260/-. The same quality is sold at Rs 400/- kg but in big cities. I cannot sell at this price in my small town. Now I want to expand my business. I have two ideas for expansion.
- One is to target tea vendors and ask them to use my tea. I shall provide the blend and spices to them. I shall help them advertise their Chai business (I don’t even know how will I do this and what medium will actually work to get their business advertised).
- Second is to get the blend packed and sell through the distributors. But in this case the cost of blend will go high. Consumers will not get it at an affordable price. The tea, that is sold at Rs 250/- to Rs 280/- actually costs not more than Rs 160/- to Rs 170/-. Maximum tea brands use tea fibers to reduce the cost. Tea fiber costs just Rs 40/- per kg. It is used 2-3%.
I am actually more interested for executing my first idea. Dear members, please guide me what should I do and How can I start my franchise business?
