I am a frog and today is my monsoon. I always have this craving to write once in a while. So today is the day. First and foremost, this article should not be treated as an advice. I am just a beginner. A beginner who wants to improve his way of living. A beginner who is not only trying to stay afloat but also enjoying the process. This is a short and precise article letting you know about my check list.

Check list here simply means things that I do on a daily basis. No matter what, these activities cannot be missed. Each activity is followed by the rationale behind doing it.
I request readers to add their activities(with reasons if possible) so that at the end of the comments page, we would have a better check list.
1) Wake up early(even if it’s Sunday)– Harward Biologist Christopher Randler discovered that early risers are simply more proactive. You simply feel in charge of the things happening around you. An entrepreneur has to analyse the problem and minimize it effectively. Study says early risers are better at problem solving thus helping them in business. Early risers can also get free time to plan out their days and weeks well in advance. The list is endless.
2) Meditation/Exercise – Arguably the best thing that you could do to yourself. Frankly speaking we all deserve to see the best version of ourselves and nothing can help us more than meditation/exercise. Advantages we all know- boosts moods and fitness. It also enables better sleep cycles thereby increasing overall efficiency.
*Following up 1 and 2 diligently usually enables our body to be aligned with the earth’s circadian rhythms thus providing us more restorative sleep.
3) Gayatri Mantra/OM chant–
OM BUHR, BHUVA, SWAHA
OM TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM
BHARGO DEVASYA DHEEMAHI
DHIYO YONAHA PRACHODAYAT”
We all know how important Gayatri Mantra is, but here are few benefits of chanting the Mantra:
Sharper mind, better immune system.
It opens up the Chakras of the body which eventually results in better healing powers.
Without going much into spirituality(else this would be an endless article), it simply helps you in managing your business or job or studies by keeping you happy. Being happy is much more important than anything else.
4) Blessings– Take blessings from as many people as possible. One essential condition, parents at home= this has to happen daily. No matter what this is one thing we all should not miss. One scientific reason attributed to this point is that blood circulation to the brain is increased when we bend over to take blessings. But other than that, there are somethings human mind just cannot explain. Blessings and Prayers!!
5) Reading– Read a lot. a lot.A lot. I guarantee that it is better than bollywood. Reading can be anything. From Tinkle to the The Lowland, from The Economic Times to the Economist. Reading just makes you a better person, if not anything else.
Studies have even shown that Reading can slow down or even prevent Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Do i need to explain more??
6) Drink lots of water: I am sorry if this is turning out to be fitness article, but I cannot miss this point. Drinking at least 3 litres of water is very important.Cleans body from inside, makes you feels fresh, better skin texture and hair and what not. So before you finish reading this article, go grab a glass of water and gulp it down. 🙂
7) Sleeping early. This point is actually complementary to the first point. I don’t think there is any need to explain this point. Only one line. MINIMUM 7 hours sleep. Period.
These are my points, my check list. But I may have missed out points. So a request to fellow rodinhooders. Lets make this list a real comprehensive one, Add your points and work on them daily. I am sure you will experience positive changes and then there is no one else you can thank. Except YOU!
Happy Rodinhooding!
Cheers,

I thought my comment would bring this topic up again and I hope I get a good list…

Hey Tejas!
Your list is something “ideal”. But being entrepreneurs, one has some dreams, and the dreams don’t let you sleep; and, don’t let you wake up on time, and then everything in the list goes in for a toss. “Organized” is something which early-stage entrepreneurs can only yearn to have.

Hi Ashutosh, I completely agree with what you have said. But that, according to me, should not stop us from doing things that would benefit us. That is the whole point of this exercise.
The least that we can do is try following it as much as possible. But if work is keeping you away from following it, that can be understood and is reasonable…
Cheers
