Role Overview:
The Chief Technology Officer’s role is to envision a technological framework aligned with the business vision, purpose, strategy and framework. S/He will need to draw up a blue print of overall architecture and constituent systems and processes, build a prototype/ wireframe, make the product live and build systems for maintenance and improvisation. The CTO will be responsible for identifying appropriate technologies to enable each process in an integrated manner. S/He will build and lead a team of experts, and will be accountable for all technology initiatives and deliveries within the organization. S/He will be an integral part of the senior leadership and will work very closely with the Executive Team.
Integral Responsibilities
- Will develop the blue print of systems architecture.
- Will build a prototype and wireframe of the portal
- Will represent the organization in all critical interfaces, including meetings with potential investors
- Future product and technology roadmap into 3 elements
ü Products and Services
ü Client engagement (user interfaces, customer experience, etc)
ü Internal operations (increase productivity, communication, maintenance, knowledge leverage, security systems, IP etc)
- Will draw up a resource plan for the next 5 years includes software, manpower and hardware costing
- Drive commercial growth through technology innovation while ensuring the highest standards of operational performance
- Establish and supervise the software development process, with key milestones and deliverable
- Take all key decisions on technology aligned with key stakeholders
- Influence, evangelise and inspire confidence with all stakeholders
- Establish governance processes to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organisational resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of software development, networks and telecommunication
- Collaborate with the appropriate departments to assess and recommend technologies that support organisational needs
Essential Candidate Profile
- Passionate about marking a change and zealous about starting a new initiative
- A Technology Graduate with around 10-12 years of experience, who can toggle between Strategic Thought Leadership and Execution.
- A risk taker ready to rename ‘difficulties’ as ‘challenges’
- A great leader and a team member
- Experienced in Software development
- Voracious coder in at least two of most commonly used programming languages including PHP, Node, Java, Java Script, C, C++
- Demonstrated experience in building interactive web portals in past
- Willingness to relocate to Mumbai in future
Desired Candidate Profile
- Some level of start-up experience
- Passionate to the idea of social reform/ benefits of aggregation to humanity at large
- Preferably based out of Mumbai and ready to work under pressure and constrained environment.
