CIIE and IIFL launch Financial Services Hackathon!

Greetings from CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad!

We are delighted to announce the launch of our Financial Services Hackathon in participation with India Infoline Limited (IIFL).

We are looking for applications from individuals and teams (preferably have at least 2 years of experience in this domain) who have an idea to revolutionize the financial services sector. Last date for applying is 8th January, 2016: www.f6s.com/fs-hackathon

We invite applicants that address either one of the problem statements:

• Need for payment solutions that allow online and offline transactions to make payment processes simpler and beneficial leading to greater inclusion.

• A solution for alternative lending/credit scoring that will enable financial institutions and formal banking channels to reach a wide range of people and enterprises and provide access to credit & financial products.

• Innovative insurance solutions for ‘bottom-of-pyramid’ to reduce life-cycle risk, buttress risk-taking appetite and enterprising ability.

The Hackathon will take place in IIM Ahmedabad from 30th – 31st January, 2016. Selected teams will attend the Hackathon to streamline and validate their solutions through extensive mentoring and capacity building. Subsequently, they will present an elevator pitch based on which a maximum of 3 teams will be each provided with a product development grant of INR 5 Lac.
