CASE 1 – I saw this ad on my facebook wall:
I clicked.
I landed here:
I left the site, ‘coz my wife doesn’t look like these women.
I disconnected.
Case 2 – I saw this e-mailer header
This is what I saw when I reached the site:
I left the site ‘coz I didn’t find the Rs 32 condoms.
I disconnected.
Question:
Why are marketers spending advertising moneys and not creating a SYNC between clicks and landing pages?

About the former I agree, Facebook ads very often do take you to a different landing page, But the Durex ad, I got an email from Snapdeal this morning announcing that they were giving Durex condoms at Rs32, For some reason I found it really funny that they would blast an email like that to all their subscribers. I clicked, Voila!!!!! Condoms, many many many boxes!! All Durex, and all on sale, (side note The Rs 32ones were sold out :p)

Sites have grown very desperate. All want a share of the ballooning pie. It’s amazing just how many e-com sites are launched each month. Even the VCs are pouring in. I hope its restricted to e-com. Seeing similar activity in the gaming arena?

It happens to me all the time. I do buy clothes online, and everytime I see a cute pair of shoes on a fb ad and click on it, I don’t see the shoes I actually wanted to buy. (Even after much persistence and searching, I don’t find those shoes 🙁 )
